Yantai Lida Woodworking Machinery Co., Ltd was built in 1960, whose original name was Muping Metals plant and main products was farming tools. Soon it change into Muping farming tools factory, whose main products were produce lathe, grinders, hobblers, etc and supplement were farming tools.
    In 1972, the company changed its name into Shandong Province Muping Light Industry Machinery Plant. In Jan. 1985, it removed to the present location, No.668 of Industry and Commerce Street, Muping District, Yantai. Since the second half of 1984, it had produced single small wood planer and changed into the professional producer of woodworking machinery, which has become one of main producers of second-level machinery. This time of products transition, which was the results of enterprise's long exploration and accumulating experience, laid the foundation for future products positioning.
    In 1988, MC908 Dowel Milling Machine of our company was rated the excellent quality product of Shandong province, which became the first excellent quality product in our history. Since that, the products, identified by the provincial economic and trade commission, eleven of which filled the national blank, achieved more than twenty national patents. MC906 Dowel Milling Machine achieved the National-level New Products Award issued by the State Economic and Trade Commission. And MQ442A（ML392B） multi-use woodworking machine achieved First Award of Provincial Excellent New Product, Conversation Gold Awards of National Spark Program Results, Third Award of Spark Program of Provincial Science Commission, while the series of MC Dowel Milling Machines achieved the Third Award of Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award. The MQ442A, developed in 1992, because of its reliable performance and cost, it is well used in individual woodworking building and decorating production, which don't meet the need all the time.     In 1990, the enterprise was promoted "Provincial Advanced Enterprise", in the same year, it achieved the Quality Permission License of Exporting Products, from which the company began to enter the international market. Since years, the company's exporting business has been from none to existing, from small to large and now has become the main business of our company. Since 1990, when the products entered international market, the exports broke ten million in 1995. Enterprise renamed: Yantai Muping Light Machinery Co.,Ltd. In 1996, it achieved the certificate of import and export enterprises approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. In the industry, it is one of the most early enterprises that got the right of operating import and export trade.
